Basic Tactical Dispatcher | 40 Hours
Designed to establish the role, duties, and responsibilities of the Public Safety Dispatcher when involved in high-risk incidents. Provides knowledge of command and tactical procedures used to resolve critical incidents. Trains the dispatcher to be an integral part of the field command post in support of operations.
Advanced Tactical Dispatcher | 24 Hours
This 24 hour course is structured to provide Public Safety Dispatchers, who have successfully completed the 40 hour Tactical Dispatchers Course, with a review and update of the operational skills needed to function in support of high risk field operations. Additionally, case studies of Tactical Dispatch Team Operations and information processing with updated procedures and forms will be addressed. Requires the attendence of Tactical Operations Supervisor and/or command staff officer to participate in the program of instruction to enhance established department protocols.
