Defensive tactics - FBI protocol, structured for the recruit who is attending a POST certified basic police academy. Training is integrated within the full curriculum as prescribed by the sponsoring academy.
Defensive Tactics Instructor | 80 Hours
Instructor development and technical skills involving arrest procedures, handcuffing, weapon tactics, self-defense procedures, non-compliance arrests, batons, tactical movement, ground fighting and physical control procedures.
Resisting Arrest/Combative Suspect Control | 24 Hours
Structured to provide the physical skills and procedures to safely control the resisting suspect using the minimum amount of force to ensure effective control. This course also provides the necessary self-defense procedures for dealing with single or multiple suspects who assault the officer. Provides both single and multiple officer tactics and involves physical controls, impact weapons, self-defense procedures, ground fighting techniques, and special equipment for dealing with non-compliant suspects.
SWAT Team Arrest Procedures | 8-16 Hours
Addresses handcuffing applications, positions, tactical procedures, weapon tactics, compliant and non-compliant suspects, multiple suspect situations, non-arrest detention procedures and occupant processing.
